VOICE OF GOD
Sallam Alaekum Waramatullah Wabarakatuh
All thanks is due to Allah, who has given us Islam as our Religion and Muhammad (SAW) as Mercy to all the world and Quran as our guidance.
This is to inform you all of a satellite cable TV Channel by name ISLAM CHANNEL.
Islam channel is the first and only English language, Islam-focused satellite channel available globally for all Muslims and non Muslims.
Islam Channel started broadcasting nearly five years ago and has since become the voice of authority for Muslims in the UK as well as the whole world. The reason for it success is that they are perceived as a trustworthy source to the 2 million plus population of Muslims in the UK and the English speaking Muslim regions around the world.
Islam Channel caters to every demographic on the market; from children's programmes, to sister's only shows; political shows to documentaries.
Islam Channel is the most watched channel among Muslims as it is the only channel that broadcasts completely in the English language.
With headquarters in Central London, Islam Channel provides alternative news, current affairs and entertainment programming from an Islamic perspective. Since its launch in 2004 Islam Channel has developed into a platform for ingenious and practical television complementing the definition of good programming.
Broadcast all programmes in English, Islam Channel aims for its programming to appeal to both Muslims and non-Muslims. Ultimately conveying Islam in its true form to curious non-Muslims and to further educate Muslims
Islam Channels fresh-contemporary approach to spreading the message of the Qu’ran has resulted in many viewers reverting to Islam, consequently establishing itself as the leading English language, Islamic focused satellite channel available globally
At present Islam Channel is broadcasted to 132 countries around the world.
With all these quality educative programmes that are suitable for all ages. All it programmes are rated for Family view to keep our children away from un-Islamic channels and programmes on the cable.
It will surprise you to know that Islam Channel is view Free to Air for all to know and better understand and follow issues relating to our Deen. Yet, not a single indigenous Cable Operators HITV, DaarSat etc in Nigeria is giving us this opportunity to enjoy this channel, but, series of Christian channels is what we have on our cables.
May be these cable providers have forgotten the success secret in numbers, as the population of Muslims faithful in Nigeria can not be underestimated for their needs not to be catered.
My brothers and sisters in Islam, we all can make our voice heard, to express our desire for this channel (Islam Channel) if only we can voice out. Remember, the Month of Ramadan is just by the corner and we need to re-engineer our faith and commitment for success in this world and the here after.
Let us all subscribe to this call by leaving a comment, statement and interest for Islam Channel on our HITV and DaarSat that we pay. leave Your comment here . By speaking with one voice we can forward our interest and I strongly believe it will make a change.
Forward this to all Muslims in your address list and advise them to leave a statement.
Masallam

AbdulRauff,
ReplyDeleteThanks for this great effort, may ALLAH reward you with good of this world and beyond. My point is what processes are you putting in place to ensure that HITV and DAARSAT air the Islam Channel, are you planning an official letter or what? The most important thing is passing the message to them is a way that is civil and encourage them to buy into.

My dear brother in Allah's deen,
ReplyDeleteWhat a great effort that is JANNAT inclined. I dislike any muslim brother who is an HITV or DAAR 's lover for failure to have an Islamic channel. I WOULD ADVISE THE DUO TO GIVE THEMSELVES A BOOST IN THEIR REVENUE GENERATION BY DOING THE RIGHT THING FOR THE MUSLIMS. RIGHT THING IS TO HAVE ISLAM CHANNEL.

Salam Alaekum. I have always wondered why hiTV that has considerable number of muslim subscribers has not deemed it fit to include the Islam Channel in its package. In any case, I opted for DSTV instead of hiTV for this single reason. I urge other muslims to dump HITV and go for DSTV if the company refuses to heed this legitimate call. Let's show them we are relevant.

Electronic media is one of the strong instruments to change the immoralities in the country and the entire world. The wind of Islam is blowing across the Globe through this reputable free to air channel. DAARSAT, HITV etc should please satisfy we the muslim viewers.
ReplyDeleteThe call for an islamic channel is very essential....I give it a total support. HITV and DAARSAT please do not ignor the call from your Muslim Subscribers.
ReplyDeleteThanks. may ALLAH (S.W.T)reward you abundantly for this great effort.
It is just and equitable as well as allowing the muslim clients have access to these chanells and satelites including al jazeera and others to be availble to their clients, otherwise muslims should be discouraged from patronising those providers
ReplyDeleteThank you

Let's remind them of our need assuming it is an oversight. If that doesn't work, then boycott. Is the owner of HiTv not a muslim?
ReplyDeleteAbdRauff,
ReplyDeleteYou really talk true. No doubt electronic media is today an important medium of communications and as such I strongly join to advice the two channels to seriously consider our request and include an Islamic channel(s.
Salaam Alaykum
ReplyDeleteMay Allah reward you for this effort. I am in support 100%. May be if they do, I can consider subscribing to either of the two.

HITV and Daarsat give Nigerian muslims an islamic channel.
ReplyDeleteOdunsi, Lagos Nigeria
Brothers, I think we should go beyond this campaign and officially communicate HITV and Daarsat about the need to give Nigerian Muslims an Islamic channel.
ReplyDeleteIn the meantime, I suggest we visit their web sites and post comments there. Please, our language should be civil and not confrontational
May Allah reward our efforts
Ma Salaam,

I am in support. It would also increase the acceptability of HITV and DAARSAT among the viewing public. If they lose nothing by adding it to their bouquet, I think it makes a lot of business sense to do so. Taiwo.
ReplyDeleteBrother Abd.Rauf, you have really tried.
ReplyDeleteSincerely, there is no doubt about this, we the Muslim need this channel.

ReplyDeleteMay the almighty bless you for this noble cause.I find it incomprehensible that this local networks pretend not to know about the needs of the large muslim UMMAH.
In addition to ISLAM CHANNEL,we alo have the HUDA TV CHANNEL also on free to air.

ReplyDeletelet there be light in our TV sets, and homes.
I join the millions of Nigerian muslims in clamouring for Islam Channel to be included in the list of channels offered by our local sattelite stations.
ReplyDeleteIts a market which shouldn't be left untapped.
assalamu alaikum brothers.
ReplyDeleteit is quite unfortunate that we have this channel free of charge and it is they do not let our intending brothers to get the channel. hence here is the clarion call that i beg of all intending buyers of the particular serve providers ans subscribers to request for that channel or for Allah's sake forsake the dish.
reman blessed
wassalamu alaikum
Salam Alaekum brothers and sisters in Islam,
ReplyDeleteThis is a very good project to embark on. I am in total support of thsi move as it will uplift the Ummah spiritually especially during the Ramadhan that is fast approaching.
I seize this medium to call on the wealthy MUSLIMS to channel that part of their SADAQAH to this worthy call that can yeild us bountyful reward from Almighty Allah without stress.
Those in authority should allow the muslim voice to be heard on all the local channel (TV & Cable) as we could hear from almost all the International channels.
Masalam,
How else can I say thank you for this call. May Allah reward you, amin. InshaAllah, I'll subscribe to any indegeneous cable sattelite that add up this wonderfull channel to its contents.
ReplyDeleteMa'assalam.

Assalamun alaykun. Thanks for this information. May Allah reard most abundantly, Ameen. I wish to lend my support to it whole heartedly. I think my big brother High Chief R.A. Dokpesi should consider this call and provide us a link. He should remember he comes from an enclave where children are raised in most cases by both practitioners of the religions. Giving a link to Islam Channel will be paying a tribute, to say the least, to his origins. Wassalaam. SHAFIIE AHMED
ReplyDeleteTo be candid, this call for the islamic channel is supported by me wholeheartedly. May Allah (S.W.T) in His infinity mercy grant our heart desire on this issue. (Amin).

Salam,
ReplyDeleteMay Allah reward you abundantly on this. There is no two words to this, MUSLIM UMAH should just call off on the patronage of the duo if we can not have programm that will benefit our faith then of what use is the media to the MUSLIMS.
Beside, it is high time we MUSLIMS UMAH too should wake up to our reponsibility, there is nothing stoping us too to position ourself by having such as HITV and DAAR. May ALLAH assist us.
Masalam,

Thanks for this information and my advise is that muslims should not patronise HITV,DAARSAT,etc if they do not include the ISLAMIC CHANNEL.

It is quite undesirable that such important thing is intentionally skipped on these cables. The number power and output of muslims towards the development of our society must not be overlooked.I thereby support the clarion call for the inclusion of Islam Channel on these cables.

ReplyDeleteI think d best way to this is just a radical approach.
If a product cant serve your purpose, then dump it, period.
DSTV has TWO ISLAMIN CHANNELS Islam channel inclusive and their programe is second to none.
So if HITV AND DARSAT are not ready to give u what u want, Brothers, pls dump them and go for the one that can give u value.
ABDUL-HAKEEM
This is a laudable project that is worth it from both economic and informative angle. Since the audience is readily available HITV and daarsat should grab the opportunity.
ReplyDeleteMay Allah save us from 'jahaliya'.

Salam Alaekum,
ReplyDeletewhat a wonderful and bold step by Bro. AbdulRauf. we are in an era where muslims are being marginalized of so many things and these people cant be blamed cos our voice is not usually raised to clamor for islamic rights. i enjoin muslims to opt out of subscription from Daarsat and HITV if they failed to address these cause.
